FSC Scholars Career Workshop

Preparing to Navigate Your Career, A Virtual Interactive Panel Discussion

February 27, 2025 at 6PM – University Club at Knapp Hall

Join us for an exclusive panel discussion for our Farmingdale scholarship recipients to gain practical career advice, build professional relationships with some Farmingdale State College industry leaders, learn about their career journeys and ask questions! Each panelist will provide participants with the opportunity to gain more clarity and validation about careers, and become acquainted with our strong alumni and donor network.

PANELISTS:

DAVID ANTAR is a true entrepreneur at heart, with 36 years in the technology and security industry. He has started several successful high-tech companies including IPVideo Corporation, now a Motorola Solutions company. Mr. Antar founded A+ Technology & Security Solutions, one of the largest physical security integrators in the U.S., and is a member of the Farmingdale College Foundation Board of Directors.

KARA CANNON is the Chief Executive Officer of Enzo Biochem, Inc., in Farmingdale since 2011, and is responsible for the daily operations of the international healthcare company. Ms. Cannon oversees global business segment strategy, resources, and activities for all Enzo programs, and is a member of the Farmingdale College Foundation Board of Directors.

RICH CATALANO is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of CVD Equipment Corporation, a former audit partner at KPMG LLP. Mr. Catalano is a member of the Farmingdale College Foundation Board of Directors.

TARA SOOKNAUTH ’10 is an FSC graduate of the Science, Technology & Society program and was founder and president of the Liberal Arts and Science club on campus. Currently she is the Senior Planner for NARS New Product Development at Shiseido Americas. Ms. Sooknauth is a former Associate Scientist at The Estee Lauder Companies.

MODERATOR:

JENNA NATALE ’16 is the Associate Executive Director of Moxxie Mentoring Foundation promoting women’s leadership and mentoring to prominent companies and institutions across Long Island and a member of the Farmingdale College Alumni Association Board of Directors.
