Gene Haas Foundation Gives Scholarships
Gift to Farmingdale State College

The Gene Haas Foundation has provided a $8,000 grant to the Farmingdale College Foundation for scholarships for students in the Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology programs at Farmingdale State College, bringing the total amount generously donated to the College to $58,000.00 since 2015. One of the Gene Haas Foundation’s goals is to introduce students to careers in machine technology and manufacturing.
The Gene Haas Foundation was founded by its namesake in 1999, to focus on manufacturing education in the form of scholarships for CNC machinist training.

The Gene Haas Foundation donates millions of dollars every year to manufacturing education and the community. In 2020, the Gene Haas Foundation provided more than $20 million in grants, bringing the total since inception to more than to $120 million.
Gonca Altuger-Genc, Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Department, had the honor of attending the Gene Haas Foundation Grant Presentation event on November 10, 2021 in Brooklyn.
